View Recording

Safety Committees are a valuable resource for any organization. Through them, members are able to identify and mitigate potential risks and safety hazards before they become an issue. They also are effective in creating emergency response plans and holding consistent training. In this session, we will discuss the benefits of these employee-driven teams, how to create a successful committee, and how to effectively manage them. This webinar will teach you about:

  • The purpose of a safety committee
  • Setting agendas and annual goals
  • Management and support
  • Initiatives and training
  • Engaging committee members and district staff
About the presenter: Adam Johnsen has served in safety roles for a variety of large infrastructure projects throughout the United States and abroad. He has earned the Certified Safety Professional designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, the Certified Playground Safety Inspector designation through the National Recreation and Park Association, and more. As the Pool’s Safety Management Consultant, he works with members to help script new best practices and procedures for possible safety exposures.
